Charles Barkley has been making news a lot lately especially with his ongoing feud with Kevin Durant. He has never been one to back down from an argument as he always makes sure to prove his point. But this has also gotten him into trouble several times in the past.

The former Phoenix Suns legend had a remarkable career as a basketball player. People have always criticised him for his playoff shortcomings but only the NBA of his time knew what he was worth. His talent won him an MVP award, several All-Star and All-NBA selections including two successful trips to the Olympics.

Charles Barkley eventually started becoming unfit for the league and had to retire after enduring a career ending knee injury. He averaged a career of 22.1 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists leading the Suns and Philadelphia 76ers to successful playoff runs. During this time he also appeared on TV many times.

This eventually led to his joining Sports Entertainment in 2000. After being a recurring analyst with NBA on TNT, due popular demand he joined the crew full time. He has been a key reason to the show’s success as well appearing alongside Shaquille O’Neal.

Recently, Charles Barkley was caught up in the middle of leaving the Inside Guys crew. LIV Golf had offered him a chance to become the face of their media crew. But due to the lack of interest shown from LIV’s side, Chuck had to turn it down and remain loyal to Turner Sports Media.

But this may have also been tied with his plan on retiring soon. “I’ve got two more years on my contract, and I think that’s going to be it for me,” he revealed earlier in February. This was much before LIV had come into the picture. Barkley (now 59 years old) revealed that at the age of 61, his contract would come to an end.
