Charles Barkley was riding the Phoenix Suns’ bus throughout the season and strongly believed that they are going to win the western conference. But unfortunately, the dreams and predictions of Charles Barkley are broken as the Dallas Mavericks eliminated the Phoenix Suns in Game 7 of the western conference semi-finals. The series was one of the most interesting ones in the postseason with a lot of whistles around and physical actions involved. There was also a lot of trash-talk between the stars from both the teams but Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks got the last laugh as they advance to the western conference finals and now will be facing the Golden State Warriors as they pull the curtains down on the Devin Booker led Phoenix Suns.
The Phoenix Suns hosted the Dallas Mavericks at Footprint Center for Game 7 of the series. A do-or-die situation for both the teams and the Phoenix Suns didn’t survive as the Mavericks were successful in pulling down the curtains on them. Something even Charles Barkley saw coming but never expected. The Dallas Mavericks took control over the game early and built a strong lead which eventually won them the game. Luka Doncic (35 points, 4 assists, and 10 rebounds) ran the offensive end and left Devin Booker and Chris Paul speechless as they had a horrible night shooting the ball and even playmaking. Jalen Brunson (24 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds) and Spencer Dinwiddie (30 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds) stepped up in the most important game of their life and didn’t let the franchise down for trusting them as they backed up their all-star point guard. While the story with Phoenix Suns was completely the opposite.
Devin Booker (11 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds) and Chris Paul (10 points, 4 assists, and 1 rebound) were offensively very limited and that’s the main reason behind the 33 points blowout loss of the Phoenix Suns (123-90 final box score). Charles Barkley had a rough and hard time spectating the game with the crew of Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and yes of course Shaquille O’Neal at NBA on TNT.

Charles Barkley’s reaction to the Phoenix Suns falling down against the Dallas Mavericks
Charles Barkley during the halftime segment of NBA on TNT sitting alongside the crew was taunted by them as they sang: “The stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas”. When asked about his view Charles Barkley even replied that “I am in shock” and yeah surely he was like many other Suns fans as no one expected the team to be down by 30 during the half and getting outscored by Luka Doncic alone.
Charles Barkley’s reaction was unexpected but that’s true and the unfortunate reality as the Suns now have stepped into their offseason and will look to get better ahead of the new challenges. Charles Barkley even criticized the players where he accepted losing is all good and okay but losing by this many points is not.
