Chicago Bulls and their medical team are CLUELESS of why Lonzo Ball has recurring knee pain
Chicago Bulls, medical staff and Lonzo Ball's camp are all clueless on why he keeps having knee pain.
Lonzo Ball
The Chicago Bulls have now gone over a year without seeing Lonzo Ball in action. After being out for the remainder of last season since April, Lonzo is unable to recover. Nobody seems to know why as well.
As per @ChiSportsUpdates on Twitter who say that “The medical staff doesn’t know why there is still pain. Lonzo and his camp also don’t know why.” Lonzo does not know what is wrong, The Bulls do not know either. The one thing glaring is his contract. He is on a 20 million dollars/year contract. The Bulls themselves need money to strengthen this team which is not even in the play-ins. The Bulls will have to trust that Lonzo can at least make a comeback before this season ends.
The worst part about this injury is the unpredictability. He was supposed to be out for 4-6 weeks. Suddenly the Bulls do not see him in action for an entire year. Their timetable for his return has just been increasing. Lonzo does know that he is a valuable asset to this team though.
Is Lonzo Ball worth waiting for?
The Chicago Bulls had one of their best seasons in a long time last in 2021/2022. Lonzo was the catalyst of that team. The Bulls went 24-23 without Lonzo Ball that season. 22-13 when he was on the court. Lonzo shot 42% from three in that stretch while he was fit. When Lonzo is fit he is vital to the team. The only problem is he cannot seem to get fit.
Lonzo must be aware of his recurring injury issues. He has only played 60 games in a season once. In his entire 5-year career in the NBA. He has had several injuries which have constantly hampered his career. Can the Bulls organization trust him to get back once and for all? The injury record will definitely be on their mind. A key factor in this dilemma.
The medical team has made their stance clear and so has Lonzo ball’s team. It is now up to the Bulls to see what they can do. They either wait for him to get fit again. Maybe try and trade him for something while he is still valuable. Big decisions beckon Chicago.
