A member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team, Paul’s accomplishments are enough to justify his position in the basketball world. However, there is one thing that still alludes him, an NBA title. Paul reiterated to close friend Dwyane Wade that he would win one before he retires. NBA fans troll the superstar for his claim.

Paul was a guest on Wade’s podcast, The Why with Dwyane Wade. Wade asked Paul if he felt that his career would be complete if he did not win a championship, Paul replied:

Uhm, straight up even though I think I'm gonna win a championship before I'm done, absolutely.

Paul mentioned that in year 19 it may not be the defining part of his career. But his mentality suggests that he wants to win one before he hands up his shoes. However, his belief that he would win an NBA title before he retired had fans baffled.

Chris Paul is 38 years old and playing in his 19th season. He is at the Golden State Warriors, whose superstars think they can win another title. This year, there are enough talent-loaded teams in the NBA to deny Paul his first ring. It will be a tough task come April.

Chris Paul has cemented his status as one of the best. The ‘Point God’ has earned his reputation despite not having a title. After all, his high IQ basketball and smart play at this age could still help a team to a title. If not for his injuries come playoff time, Paul could have been a champion.

Chris Paul is on the back end of his career. This year the Golden State Warriors have to play a lot better if Paul has to win his first ring. If not the Warriors, Paul will have to take massive pay cuts and a reduced role to be a part of a championship-winning squad. Most importantly, Paul has to stay injury-free come playoff time to justify his role in a team.
