The Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul was surprised and disappointed about the allegations charged against Suns and Mercury owner, Robert Sarver. He then broke the silence and put forth his comments. Chris took to his Twitter handle to post his views and reactions to this controversy and even he believes the punishment should have been harsher and the league is going a bit easy on him.
In his first tweet, Chris mentioned, “Like many others, I reviewed the report. I was and am horrified and disappointed by what I read. This conduct especially towards women is unacceptable and must never be repeated.” He again tweeted, “I am of the view that the sanctions fell short in truly addressing what we can all agree was atrocious behavior. My heart goes out to all of the people that were affected.”
Robert Sarver, the majority owner of Suns and Mercury has been fined $10 million and banned from activities within the NBA and WNBA for a year. A decade ago, Chris Paul faced a similar situation with his then Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Donald was forced to give up on his team and was restricted from involvement within the NBA for lifetime. Steve Ballmer then took over from him.

Phoenix Suns begin preparations for the upcoming 2022-2023 season
The Phoenix Suns are back on the court, practicing for the upcoming NBA season. Devin Booker and Chris Paul have been working out in the offseason and now are back to the lead the team with improvements made. The Suns have young, emerging stars in Ayton and Bridges to strengthen their roster. Their head coach, William, is one of the best in the business.
The only problem the Suns face is tremendous competition in the West. The other teams, like Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors, possess a strong challenge for their opponents and would wipe the floor clean. The Phoenix Suns are also tough opponents and will be eager to pocket the title this season. They play the Dallas Mavericks on their opening night on the 19th Oct in the latest NBA season.
