CJ McCollum has so far been one of the best analysts around the league and he is just a newbie. In just some days he has landed Stephen A. Smith in trouble by destroying him on the National Television and now is back in the headlines for his individual take regarding the Golden State Warriors dynasty. The Dubs have already been trending as they made it to the NBA Finals sold Game 1 and revenged it all in Game 2 against the Boston Celtics. But unexpectedly, even their former star player who left the team due to chemistry issues and to prove himself also trends with them. As recently, many around even including the analysts and commentators have started to compare KD and Stephen Curry and of course, the outcome is unpredictable as it has everyone divided. CJ McCollum though has it crystal clear in his mind as he said it all out on the National Television.
CJ McCollum said his opinion out and loud on ESPN’s Get Up sitting alongside JJ Redick. They were discussing the back and forth exchanges between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant which had the Nets’ star really upset. Draymond Green on Colin Cowherd’s podcast disrespected KD by picking Stephen Curry over him while discussing the number of double teams they faced. After some days it was settled down and Twitter wasn’t burning with these two in charge. But Draymond Green once again fired a shot and said: “When KD was here our offense still started with Steph.” This had him in the headlines and everyone around was amazed and stunned as not many expected any such statements from the former DPOY.
CJ McCollum has faced the Dubs two times in the playoffs and many times during the regular season too. He has also talked with Draymond Green regarding the whole situation and all of these just made it very clear for him. As discussing the situation he sided with Kevin Durant as the better player on the Golden State Warriors team as he walked away with two championships and two Finals MVPs during his time there.

CJ McCollum on Kevin Durant being the better one from the Warriors team
CJ McCollum after discussing the whole situation and exchanges between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant and the reasons behind it. Straightaway made a bold statement and quoted: “There’s no debates about who was the best player on that team. We know it was Kevin Durant. Steph knows it was Kevin Durant. Draymond, deep down, he knows it was Kevin Durant. And obviously, Kev knew that he was that player on that team.”
CJ McCollum also mentioned how they were losing to the Warriors even before KD was there and how his addition just changed it all but with the same results. The answer is still not clear for many but the New Orleans Pelicans star has just said it all out. Now since the Dubs and KD have parted ways the Dub Nation waits on Stephen Curry’s first Finals MVP award so they can rank him ahead of the Nets’ star and then the greatest shooter of all time will also be a member of the G.O.A.T debate. As they have a narrative of the Chef being better and ahead of KD regarding everything, not just the years they spent together as teammates.
