The James Harden trade drama has just picked up more and more speed as time has passed. However, the pre-season has started and Harden is still with the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden has made it amply clear that the team he wants to be traded to is the Los Angeles Clippers. However, despite his repeated requests, a trade hasn’t gone through yet.

The reason for this might’ve been revealed by the Clippers head coach – Tyronn Lue. Should Harden get traded to the Clippers, the Clippers would need to send multiple assets back to Philadelphia in return for Harden. One of these pieces includes Clippers guard Terance Mann. Lue was quoted saying that Mann wasn’t going anywhere and that he would stay put in Los Angeles.

As it seems, Mann’s involvement in the trade might have been the central factor leading to its cancellation.

Mann will consider himself fortunate that his head coach thinks about him this way. Mann’s shoulders will be carrying extra responsibility considering the fact that the Clippers didn’t trade for Harden because of him.

How has James Harden reacted to not being traded?

James Harden is infamous for acting up when things don’t go his way, especially in trade deals. He’s been known to miss games, throw around attitude, and play lazily.

This time, however, his behavior appears to be better. During the 76ers training camp, he was seen helping out rookies and guiding them on how to improve their game. While he did skip the 76ers media day, there have been no reports of him talking badly to anyone at camp.

76ers’ fans will wonder how long this will go on for. All they can do is hope that the 76ers are able to find a suitable destination for Harden before he loses his patience with the organization. All fans can do until then is wait.
