New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson often takes over a game. But this time against the Washington Wizards, fans were quick to notice the apparent reason for his dominating performance.
Playing in the second of their back-to-back games, Brunson went off for 41 points. But fans noticed Rapper Coi Leray seated in the front row. One clip catches Brunson looking at the center screen when Leray is introduced to the crowd. Fans indicated that Brunson went off in the game after noticing her in the stands watching up close. Brunson has occasionally been tagged with celebrities who come to watch Knicks games. This time it was no different.
Jalen Brunson went off for 41 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead the Knicks to their 113-109 win. He scored 18 of the 21 points the Knicks scored in a stretch in the fourth quarter. This level of dominant play stretched the lead and sealed the win. Three other starters for the Knicks scored close to or above the 20-point mark to help Brunson.
Brunson used spin moves and fadeaways to score, even though the Wizards managed to clog the lane. Such was his high IQ basketball that the Wizards had no answer to the diminutive point guard. Brunson’s teammates deferred to him watching him make the Wizards pay.
