“He’s never been committed“ Colin Cowherd believes Anthony Davis has never been able to channelize his ‘gifted potential’ into full use
Colin Cowherd and Anthony Davis
Colin Cowherd believes Anthony Davis is just pretending to be committed in the process of getting better. As the Lakers just had a terrible season where they didn’t even make it to the play-in tournament and he was one of the biggest reasons behind it. Anthony Davis last season suited up for only 40 games and averaged 23.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.2 steals with 2.2 blocks while shooting horribly bad from the three-point line. As he made only 18.6% of his attempted three-pointers. He was also sidelined most of the time due to injuries and was also out of shape. So Colin Cowherd calling him out isn’t no wrong as his lazy habits have just sold away a good long season for the Lakers.
Anthony Davis is just 29 years old and Colin Cowherd is already counting him out and saying he has passed his prime years between the age of 24-26. As since then he never really showed up as many around him expected him to. A video of AD claiming of not touching the basketball for months recently went viral all over the internet and fans hated on him for maintaining that attitude. He even got his way bullied to a gym to improve his game thanks to Lakers Nation. But now it looks like Anthony Davis is fully focused and committed as he’s working out around 4:50 A.M and it was posted by a skills development coach he’s training with. Colin Cowherd though has a bit different take on it as he believes, AD is just trying to be that guy.

Colin Cowherd on Anthony Davis showing off and faking his commitment to the game and the Lakers
Colin Cowherd discussing Anthony Davis’ situation said that Anthony Davis is just trying to prove his commitment to the fans and the team while he isn’t really getting the job done. He even brought in a comparison as he criticized AD and quoted: “Anthony Davis is an old 29 years old. Now this year looks like he’s really committed that’s what Twitter says can he make up for years of neglect I don’t know. But if you look at the numbers he peaked at 26 years old… He’s never been committed he’s just been gifted. Same with Cam Newton…it’s very well known in the NBA he doesn’t work out, he doesn’t play through a lot of his injuries… So now he’s trying to prove to you ‘let’s get it out there I am committed.’… maybe he has a really good year but I have seen it for a lot of years and I know what he is.”
Colin Cowherd also brought in some legendary comparisons of Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Jimmy Butler, Karl Malone and LeBron James to throw some more shade at Anthony Davis. He’s right with his critical take though as if AD isn’t really committed then it’s already a wrap-up for the Lakers.
