Jaylen Brown tried to imitate Anthony Edwards' dunk against the Rockets and failed miserably

So, in this one NBA game, we saw something from Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown that’s got everyone talking. He went for a crazy dunk, the one we recently saw from Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards. Brown tried a self-alley-oop off the backboard, but let’s just say it didn’t go as he imagined.

The game against the Houston Rockets was heating up when Brown decided to go big. He throws the ball at the backboard, aiming for that jaw-dropping dunk.

But, oops, the ball just flew over his head, and Brown was left grabbing at nothing but air. The commentator was full of excitement as Jaylen Brown threw the ball off the backboard and jumped for it, but it all went away when Brown couldn’t finish the play. The commentator said,

Boston won that game EASILYYY... and he tried to pull an Anthony Edwards.

Brown might not have nailed it, but you can’t miss Edwards’ influence in there. Edwards, with his show-stopping backboard self-alley-oop against the Memphis Grizzlies, has left his mark. Even MVP favorite Joel Embiid imitated it in his recent game against the Orlando Magic, dubbing Edwards his favorite player in the NBA.

Brown didn’t let the miss get to him, though. He bounced back, playing a big part in the Boston Celtics’ 116-107 win over the Houston Rockets. Jaylen Brown recorded a triple-double, scoring 13 points, making 10 assists and grabbing 11 boards. That didn’t deter fans from making fun of this mishap though.
