The Golden State Warriors suffered a blowout 118-99 loss at home to the Sacramento Kings in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series. The Kings dominated the Warriors, rallying spectacularly after their Game 5 loss in Sacramento. They will now get a chance to close the series at home in Game 7.

Stephen Curry and the team were to blame for this loss as none of the players brought their “A-Game.” They now face a Game 7 for the first time since the 2018 NBA playoffs. The prospect of the Warriors losing two straight games after taking a 3-2 lead in the series was ruled out by most fans and analysts. But they now face an uphill battle to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

Malik Monk was the star of the show for the Kings with 28 points, four assists, and seven rebounds. De’Aaron Fox had a stellar outing, finishing with 26 points, 11 assists, and four rebounds. The Kings showed a combined effort and performed as a unit to get the win in a do-or-die game.

The Warriors on the other hand showed a terrible display of chemistry and skill. Stephen Curry led the way for the team with 29 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Klay Thompson followed with 22 points and four rebounds but didn’t score a single point in the fourth quarter. The second half of the game was tragic for the Warriors, as they were outscored 60-48. As a team, Golden State had their least efficient offensive performance of the series, shooting only 37.6% and committing 19 turnovers.

The Warriors will have to bring their A-Game in Game 7 of the series, which will be the decider. The team made various mistakes in the game, exposing their weaknesses. Jordan Poole missed his first six shots and finished the game with only seven points. Andrew Wiggins scored 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting, missing all three of his three-point attempts. Despite providing rebounds, steals, and blocks, the Warriors needed more from Wiggins offensively.

On the other hand, the Kings’ bench players, including Malik Monk, Trey Lyles, Keegan Murray, and Kevin Huerter, delivered strong performances, scoring 28, 12, 15, and 12 points, respectively. This contrasted with the Warriors’ secondary scorers, who failed to step up. Although Stephen Curry scored 11 points in the fourth quarter, Klay Thompson did not score, highlighting the need for someone else to step up in the upcoming game in Sacramento.

Let us now look at the slander Stephen Curry and the team had to face on Twitter for their tragic performance.
