Damian Lillard has his priorities set and wants to be traded specifically to Miami Heat only. After, 10 loyal years the All-Star guard and the Portland Trail Blazers are finally parting ways. But the guard and his camp have made his departure a bit difficult for the Blazers’ front office, especially, GM Joe Cronin. Damian Lillard requested a trade last week and soon it was reported that he specifically wants to join the Eastern Conference Champions, Miami Heat.

Since then both the teams have been trying to run a trade that is satisfying both the parties. But shipping a player of Damian Lillard’s caliber and contract isn’t just easy when you aren’t rebuilding and want a young and talented star back. So the Blazers didn’t just limit themselves to the Miami Heat and have even engaged in trade talks with other franchises too. But now Lillard’s agent, Aaron Goodwin is trying his level best to ensure that Dame ends up at his preferred destination, Miami Heat.

As reported by Senior NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski‘s agent Aaron Goodwin is telling the organizations outside of Miami that trading for Damian Lillard means trading for an unhappy player.  He is basically handing out warnings against trading for Dame. But this isn’t stopping the talks around him and as soon as the Blazers find a perfect deal they’ll trade him away.

As Wojnarowski in the same report also mentioned how many GMs in the league suggest that the pressure won’t impact the procedure. And, Lillard will have to honor his contract and play hard and well like he always does.

Portland Trail Blazers are looking to get the maximum trade value for Damian Lillard. As they aren’t planning to rebuild anytime soon and want to be able to compete with their young and talented core. Even though Miami Heat are the preferred destination of Lillard, they are yet to impress the Blazers with a satisfying offer. So the front office of the Blazers is engaged in trade talks with other teams too.

The most Miami Heat can offer to acquire Damian Lillard are two first-round picks (2028 and 2030), five years of first-round picks swap, and rights of some young players including Nikola Jovic and rook Jaime Jaquez Jr. They are also ready to chip Tyler Herro in the package for a successful exchange.

But the Blazers are least interested in getting Tyler Herro and his contract. So they will either end up trading Damian Lillard to any other team or it will be a multiple-team trade that will satisfy all the parties involved.
