NBA Players reacts to Stephen Curry setting NBA record with 50 points in Game 7 as Warriors advance to face Lakers

Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard
On Sunday night, Stephen Curry delivered a historic performance in Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference first-round playoffs against the Sacramento Kings. The Golden State Warriors star scored a record-breaking 50 points, leading his team to a 120-100 win and setting up a showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers in the next round.
Curry was unstoppable from start to finish, making 20 of his 38 shots, including seven 3-pointers. He became the first player in NBA history to score at least 50 points in a Game 7, surpassing Kevin Durant’s 49 points against Milwaukee Bucks in 2021.
The Warriors’ start was on fire throughout the game, especially in the second half, when he scored 30 points and helped the Warriors pull away from the Kings, who had outplayed them for most of the first half.
Curry’s performance was hotter than the core of the Sun, which other fellow NBA players felt. Damian Lillard, the star point guard for Portland Trail Blazers, tweeted after the game and called Curry a “filthy animal” and acknowledged his greatness. “Steph Curry you animal lol… he just packed up a very good team … in a very tough building,” Lillard tweeted after the game.
