During a conversation with reporter Sean Highkin, Lillard expressed regret about the event and stated that fights are common in the NBA.

“And Jordan Poole’s probably walking away thinking, ‘When I push somebody, I should know that something may come back.’ Finally, Lillard mentioned how NBA players are frequently chastised for their lack of toughness.
