The Milwaukee Bucks‘ Damian Lillard was the star of the show at this year’s NBA All-Star weekend.
The star not only won one but two important awards at the event. The star on last Saturday won the three-point contest for the second time in a row. And on Sunday, during the NBA All-Star game, the player won the most important award of the night, the All-Star Most Valuable Player award.
As NBA fans were impressed by Lillard’s performance, it seemed as if fans were not the only ones surprised by his performance. It is not new for celebrities to attend the NBA All-Star weekend. American rapper GloRilla attended the weekend game and the player’s performance caught her attention. The rapper posted a picture with Lillard on X with a flirty caption shooting her shot at the player.
Lillard did not react to the rapper’s tweet until yesterday. As the Bucks were in Los Angeles to play against the LA teams, Lakers and Clippers, Lillard was spotted by TMZ, after spotting the athlete the reporter did not miss the opportunity to ask for the player’s reaction to ‘GloRilla shooting her shot’.
To which Lillard smiled and responded:
Shout out to GloRilla, man.
The reporter further asked if the Bucks guard had reached out to the rapper or had any type of conversation with her after she posted the tweet about him. To which Lillard responded,
No comment, my brother.
Even though the player did not give any certain answers, his response was enough for fans to speculate further.
Damian Lillard recently got divorced after two years of marriage
Getting traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Bucks was not the only major change in Lillard’s life last year. Lillard was traded after playing for 10 years for his drafting team, the Trailblazers. But moving cities was not the only major change in the athlete’s life.
The player also filed for divorce just after a month of getting traded. Lillard and ex-wife Kay’La Hanson were together for 15 years before getting married in 2021. The couple shared three children, but unfortunately, the couple legally parted ways in October 2023.
The reason behind the separation is yet unknown. But the guard has addressed the situation as he opened up about struggles with getting traded and divorced at the same time. The player’s current single status is what got the fans excited over his exchange with the rapper GloRilla.
