“As Black people, we don’t have enough therapy,” Darvin Ham makes emotional confession about his PTSD after getting shot

Darvin Ham and LeBron James
Darvin Ham and the Los Angeles Lakers recently were hosted by the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena. The game was closely contested and head to head as the second half started. But Darvin Ham and his plays got the Los Angeles Lakers across as they won it all at 124-117. The front office of the Los Angeles Lakers has done a perfect job in filling up the head coach spot.
As Darvin Ham has some real control on the weak roster the front office has gifted him and the superstar trio too. The changes he has brought in have done nothing but improved the Hollywood-based team. In the game, Anthony Davis and LeBron James led the scoring end. As LBJ dropped 35 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. While AD got 34 points, 7 assists and 14 rebounds.
Ahead of his return to his hometown Detroit, Darvin Ham spoke about his time in Saginaw, Michigan. He talked about the rough and tough days he has seen here while growing up in an unwanted environment. As he was shot in the face in the face in 1998. He has also mentioned how he still suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of things he has gone through in Detroit back in the day.
He also mentioned how therapy is necessary for Black People who go through a lot of tough times but never agree for help or share their stories to feel better even though they should be doing that. Darvin Ham throwing light on the very important topic of mental health said: “As Black people, we don’t have enough therapy.”
Further, Darvin Ham added: “I have PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder] to this day off them shots ringing out, getting shot, the s— going on in my neighborhood. And we don’t … we think it’s cowardice or we’re weak if we go get help. And we need so much help, bro.”
Darvin Ham is the perfect piece for the Los Angeles Lakers as he has the potential to lead the star-studded but unfortunately weak roster ahead. Guys like him influence others and motivate them to get better every day and keep winning in life. And, the only thing the Los Angeles Lakers are lacking at the moment is playing some winning basketball and staying consistent with much-needed wins.
Can Darvin Ham lead the Los Angeles Lakers across?

Darvin Ham has already started the process to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to the playoffs and get the franchise a deep run into the postseason. First, it was the injuries and unavailability of players ruining his plan but now with most of them healthy and ready to go, Ham is out there doing nothing but straight-away some winning business. As the Los Angeles Lakers have been unreal in their past games.
Even though the team has unfortunately landed on the losing end, the unreal improvements made are a good sign which will help them in the long run. Darvin Ham running the offense through Anthony Davis and bringing Russell Westbrook in with the second unit has really changed the season around for the Los Angeles Lakers and now the fans at least have hopes with the team as the season goes ahead.
Still, they’ll have to improve a lot and start winning games as MVP-calibre performances are nothing but washed efforts if you are losing games. Right now, the Darvin Ham led Los Angeles Lakers are ranked at the 12th spot in the western conference with a record of 11 wins and 15 losses.
