Draymond Green feeling sad over Adreian Payne News
Shocked by the news of former NBA player Adreian Payne sudden demise, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green excused himself from the post-game press conference, declaring the donation to honor former Spartan Player. The NBA world was hit hard by the tragic news of Adreian Payne’s death earlier on Monday and ever since many players have revealed their true emotions. The circumstances and the manner were very unfortunate that no one could express their feelings over the event. Former Michigan State Adreian Payne was shot, and killed in Orlando, early Monday morning. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green, who also played for Spartans couldn’t control his emotions.
During the post-game interview, Green requested the media to ask any questions after Wednesday’s game, as he was not in a state of mind to answer at that moment. But he called out some NBA stars who also were part of the Michigan College basketball team to work out some donations to honor the late Adreian Payne.
Draymond Green stunned by Adreian Payne’s news

Draymond Green’s emotional downcast was visible in the press conference, as the outspoken player cleared the reason while addressing the press. Despite a hard-fought win over shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies, Draymond was sad for his NBA colleague who was shot dead. As a formality, Green came to the press room but excused himself from any game questions.
He said, “So my emotions are kind of all over the place now, so I am gonna go home and just sit on my podcast and talk, because I can pause that and cry if I need to cry. I don’t like to cry in front of people.” Green also declared about the donation, he and his wife Hazel would be making following his friend’s demise.
He called out fellow Spartan players for their contributions, as he added, “In Adreian’s name, I call all my Spartan Family, Magic, Jaren Jackson, Myles Bridges, and all the Spartan family to come in and let’s do something in honor of Adreian.” He dishes out some of his idea behind donations like a campus named after Payne or even a scholarship. Draymond is contributing $100,000 to kick-start the noble cause.

As per police confirmation, 31 years old, Payne was shot and killed in Florida on Monday morning. In a statement provided to PEOPLE, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of Egret Shores Drive at 1:37 a.m. local time. Payne was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
While the whole NBA and Spartans family are moaning over the tragic incident, Green’s initiative to honor his friend seems a perfect fit at the moment. Emotionally drenched Draymond got support from his teammates and the Warriors’ fans.
