“A lot of sorry motherf***ers in our league” – DeMar DeRozan’s UNEXPECTED response to LeBron James claiming Bronny’s better than some NBA players
DeMar DeRozan speaks out on LeBron James' tweet about son Bronny's basketball skills
Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan recently appeared on “Podcast P,” a podcast hosted by Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George, to discuss the current state of the NBA. During the conversation, DeRozan offered some candid insights into the league, including his thoughts on the lack of passion and work ethic among some players.
The discussion was sparked by a tweet from LeBron James in March, in which the Lakers star declared that his son Bronny James, a high school basketball standout, was already better than some players in the NBA.“Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today. Shit lightweight hilarious.”
On the podcast, DeRozan spoke about the frustration he feels when he sees players who don’t truly love the game of basketball and take their talent for granted.
“We do got a lot of sorry motherf*****s in our league. Imma be honest. I’m the type of dude I keep my opinions to myself. I chill. I play the back seat. But being in the league so long you realize how many motherf*****s don’t love the game of basketball who take it for granted who feel so entitled who just want everything that come with it but don’t want to put the work in. It’s so frustrating you know what I mean?”
Bronny James continues to make waves in high school basketball
While LeBron’s tweet about his son sparked debate about the current state of the NBA, it also highlights that Bronny James is one of the country’s most highly talented high school basketball players.
At 18 years old, Bronny made a name for himself on the court, drawing comparisons to his superstar father and attracting attention from top college programs. He recently ended his senior season at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California, by being named a McDonald’s All-American, an honor given to the country’s best high school basketball players.
There is no doubt that Bronny has already established himself as a brilliant and committed player, even though it is unclear whether he will ultimately live up to the hype and become an NBA great like his father.
