But fortunately, as per Dennis Schroder that heart-breaking day is years away and LeBron James plans to follow in the footsteps of Tom Brady. Tom Brady is 45 years old and is still dominating the National Football League. LeBron James also plans to do the same as his teammate Dennis Schroder said in a recent interview of his.

In the interview, Dennis Schroder has claimed that LeBron James told him he wants to play for 5-7 more years and retire at 45. The fans would love to watch Bron hoop for another 5-7 years but for that to happen he’ll have to stay healthy and take the utmost care possible of his body. As lately he has been battling father time. But fortunately, he has always won over it.

If it’s possible for LeBron James to hoop until he is 45 and then wrap it up for once. He will be in contention for becoming the oldest player of all time. Right now the record is held by Nat Hickey who was almost 46 years old (45 years and 363 days) when he retired in 1948. Also, if he continues to ball out at the same level or even a bit less for another 5-7 years. There would be zero doubts regarding the G.O.A.T debate.

Can LeBron James really hoop till he’s 45?

LeBron James

LeBron James right now is in his year 20 in the league and will soon be 38 years old. The pace he’s balling out at the moment can surely have him as one of the best guys in the league in his early 40s too. Every team in the league wants a player like Bron to join their roster no matter what age he’ll be at. So not having a team to suit up for will never be a problem for James. But his lower body injuries, health and shape can be a major concern over the years.

But if LeBron James decides to get this done, he can surely play till 45. And, it even makes sense as by doing so he’ll be able to share the court with both of his sons: Bronny James and Bryce James. As Bronny will be eligible to get drafted in the league by 2024 and by 2029 (when Bron turns 45) even Bryce will be in the league and hooping. And, the Lakers superstar has already said that he’ll definitely be looking for the teams who have the first-round picks from 2024 to 2027.
