Dennis Schroder has played a very important role in the Los Angeles Lakers‘ post-season run so far. Even though he fumbled the bag last year, he is back and proving himself for the Los Angeles-based team. Dennis Schroder is the team’s go-to guy when they are bringing the second unit in or resting the starting guards. As he is capable of not only bringing the ball up but also keeping the possession active, drilling some buckets, throwing some dimes and even stealing the ball.

So far in the post-season, Dennis Schroder is averaging 7.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals. The Los Angeles Lakers are now leading the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors at 3-1. They are just one win away from the Western Conference Finals. But unfortunately, Dennis Schroder who plays a key role in the system used by the Lakers isn’t in his full health.

As revealed by his wife, Ellen Schroder in a recent vlog of her, posted on YouTube. There she didn’t just cover the Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena, but before heading for the game even updated the fans about the struggle Dennis Schroder is having with his Achilles Tendon. According to Ellen, if the Lakers are able to win the series at 4-1, Dennis Schroder will have enough time to fly to Germany and get the treatment done.

As Ellen Schroder in her YT vlog said: “It’s 2-1, we have the lead right now, if we manage to get 3-1 so we just win one more game in San Francisco would be amazing. That way Dennis would have time to fly back to Germany for his treatment. He is really struggling with his Achilles Tendon and some other things. I wish he would be fit, but I can’t say that right now. But he’s giving his best and I respect that a lot. A real fighter.” The quotes are from the subtitles of her channel as she shoots her vlog in the German language.

Can Dennis Schroder and the Los Angeles Lakers advance with a 4-1 series win against Golden State Warriors?

Dennis Schroder and the Los Angeles Lakers have a real chance to advance to the Western Conference Finals. As they are just one dub away from wrapping up the season for the Dubs. But to claim them winning the series at 4-1 isn’t possible.

No one in the league would ever do the mistake of sleeping on the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors, as the Greatest Shooter of All-Time can himself carry the team and force a Game 7. Also, this isn’t the first time they are in such a situation.

So Golden State Warriors will surely come up with correct adjustments made and new plays to give the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers a tough battle. And, if the Lakers are able to get past them in Game 5 itself, then Dennis Schroder can get his Achilles Tendon fixed in Germany or else he’ll either be healing it in the early summer or will have to play through the pain for the remainder of Lakers post-season. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. PT at the Chase Center.
