“Watch the NFL playoffs,” Devastated LeBron James gives candid answer on coping with loss against Brooklyn Nets
Nets second half adjustments slow down Lakers, overcome 6-point deficit to win 130-112.

LeBron James does not have words to describe how badly he is coping with the latest loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar saw his team lose the lead in the second half and throw the game to the Nets at the end.
James was asked by a reporter from Spectrum Sportsnet about how he would keep his confidence from being shaken after today’s loss. James answered in the most candid way he could. He said:
Watch the NFL Playoffs tomorrow, that's what I would do.LeBron James to the reporters

LeBron James being the player he is, cannot say anything that might even shake his team’s confidence in any way. Plus, he does not want the media to write about things that may affect the franchise. After all, the loss is already news enough for the basketball world to talk about.
James and the Lakers have to let this one aside and refocus on the upcoming games. They are currently 21-22 and in last place of the play-in spots. They cannot let this game shake their confidence heading into the rest of the season. Therefore, their leader had to reply in a way that he let this one go from his mind as soon as the game was done. James has to keep the team from losing its confidence.
The Lakers won two games at their home against playoff teams. Which was a good confidence booster on its own. But this loss, at home, will sting. The Brooklyn Nets are 17-24. The Lakers with their recent newfound way of playing should not have had a bad night like this against the Nets.
The Lakers leader has to rally the troops
The Lakers recently changed the way they play. The injury to starter Cam Reddish brought out an efficient new gameplan utilizing D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves as snipers from the three-point line. The Lakers were supposed to steamroll the Nets using this method. However, it was not to be.

The Lakers had five players in double-digits at the end of regulation. The Nets in comparison had seven. Add to that, the Nets added physicality to their defense in the second half. This slowed down the Lakers considerably. Plus better shooting than the Lakers helped the Nets. So for the Lakers to lose in this way to a team with a worse record was alarming.
James has to let this one go. He also has to ensure his team also lets this go. The Lakers have three more home games before a 6 game road trip. They have to win the remaining home games this month to start the road trip with a winning record. The player with the highest IQ in the league must have thought about that before giving his answer.
