“Kobe’s job was to inspire the next generation” Devin Booker lashes out at haters trying to tarnish Kobe Bryant’s legacy
Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum and Kobe Bryant
Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum are some young guns of the league who are inspired by Kobe Bryant and love him unconditionally and there’s nothing wrong with it. But they still get some hate and criticism for it which is completely senseless. Both of the players have been trolled many times for just showing out their love for their idol and inspiration Kobe Bryant. Even though they have said it out and loud that they’ll never be like him but will always try to be on the path and showcase Mamba Mentality. The things though are still the same as they get trolled for absolutely no sensible reason. But Devin Booker has finally stepped up and settled it from his side as we all know Kobe Bryant was more than just a Basketball player for many around the globe.
Players like Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum and many others keep on paying their respect to Kobe Bryant but it isn’t really liked by many haters around. As they probably just don’t understand that the Black Mamba has left a mark behind which will live forever and keep on inspiring people not just in basketball but in everything they do. His theory of getting better every day and not giving up is used by many individuals and even many NBA players every day but the haters just won’t get it.
Phoenix Suns’ star Devin Booker had a special relationship with Kobe Bryant and so does everyone who is inspired by him in the league. After calling a wrap of his basketball career in 2016 by saying: “Mamba Out”, Kobe was truly focused on training the next generation and becoming a successful mentor. Some of the talents he polished up are Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and many others too. All these guys are a part of his legacy but these days many around keep questioning it as they are also forgetting him in the G.O.A.T conversation.
Recently in an interview with Cameron Tabatabaie of USA Today, Devin Booker called out all those haters who keep questioning Kobe Bryant and the influence he has had on the next generation. In his response, he has explained how him and Tatum try to represent Kobe and carry his legacy ahead.
Devin Booker on the senseless hate for Kobe Bryant’s influence
When Devin Booker was questioned: “OK, who loves Kobe Bryant more, you or Jayson Tatum?” responding to it he quoted: “We both love him a lot. The thing about that, I’ll elaborate on that. I see (Tatum) getting hate just representing Kobe and being inspired by him. But Kobe always said his one job is to inspire the next generation… that’s what he’s done for us. He is gonna live forever in this game and not even just in basketball. Just his approach to life and how he’s changed and shaped so many people. I think it’s foolish for people to give hate to somebody like me or Jayson representing one of our idols.”
Devin Booker said nothing wrong in his response. As he and Tatum are just representing their idol and they have all rights to do so. Which means fans, of course not the real ones who hate on them for not winning games after bringing Kobe Bryant into the conversation are just senseless as it’s a team game and it’s not just about an individual trying his best to get the job done. Both these young guns are already shining bright and have registered trips to NBA Finals already so the future for them is bright and they’ll surely prove the doubters and haters wrong shortly.
