Stop pushing people in the back: Devin Booker wants all the smoke from Patrick beverley after yet another cheap ‘unsportsmanlike’ shove

The Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker have had an impressive run in the NBA over the last two years. From being the worst team in the league to becoming the best overall, they mean serious business on the court. Their recent run in with the Los Angeles Lakers had their competitive spirit on full display, but things got a little out of hand between their players.

During the fourth quarter, Devin Booker got into a very physical battle against Austin Reaves who was in possession of the ball. Dbook played extremely tight defense which led to him blocking Reaves from making a shot. Reaves went to the ground as Booker left with a stare down. Whatever conspired following the incident had the Suns scorer handed over a flagrant 1 foul.

After Booker had walked off, Deandre Ayton was near Reaves but hadn’t done anything. Lakers point guard Patrick Beverley used Ayton as a target to get back at the Suns for going overboard on defense. Pat shoved Ayton to the ground while he (Ayton) had his back turned against him. Beverley was rewarded with an ejection.

Following the game, Devin Booker was interviewed by Chris Haynes of TNT. He was asked about altercation and Book replied, “It was more than it was supposed to be. Pat needs to stop pushing people in the back, man. Push them in the chest. That’s all I got to say.” Devin seems to be carrying a grudge against Beverley for unnecessarily taking his anger out on Ayton rather than sorting out his frustrations in a mature way.

The Phoenix Suns are trying their best to remain one of the top prospects to hold the NBA Championship at the end of the season. After losing Chris Paul to a heel injury six games ago, the Suns took little damage but managed to bounce right back up with the help of Devin Booker and his soldiers.

The Lakers lost to the Suns 105-115. LeBron James remained out of the lineup still recovering from his injury. Anthony Davis excelled scoring 37 points and 21 rebounds. Russell Westbrook had 21 points coming off the bench. Pat Bev recorded 10 rebounds without a point. Beverley has always been someone to bring high competitiveness to a team.

Booker finished with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Ayton recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. He is a vital role to the team on both sides of the court but still requires picking up pace on offense. Mikal Bridges also had 25 points to end the game. Both teams were almost identical statistically, but the Lakers were miserable from deep shooting only 18.2% throughout the game.
