Dillon Brooks got humiliated last night as the Memphis Grizzlies lost game 3 to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Grizzlies star Ja Morant returned for the first time since game 1 and dropped 45 points in a valiant effort but suffered a 101-11 loss. The Lakers took a 2-1 lead in the series on the back of a 31-point performance from Anthony Davis.
Dillon Brooks and LeBron James got into it during the game, with Brooks getting ejected after hitting James in the unmentionables. Before the game, the Lakers broadcasters decided to troll the trash-talking guard by displaying a graphic comparing their achievements. Brooks has won zero awards in his entire NBA career so far and said last week that he would not respect James and called him ‘an old guy.’
LeBron James has many NBA records, achievements, and awards, which led to unhinged trolling of Dillon Brooks on Twitter. Brooks also had a horrible game, going 3/13 from the field in his 19 minutes before getting thrown out. LeBron James scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds on the night in a tidy performance to secure the victory for LA.

The graphic compared Brooks and James regarding career points, MVPs, championships, Finals MVPS, and All-star and All-NBA selections. Brooks has less than 1/7th the total career points James has and has none of the other achievements listed. This graphic has come after a lot of trash talk and disrespect directed by Brooks towards James in this series.
“No body wants YOUR RESPECT DILLON lol,” replied one fan on Twitter as Brooks said he does not respect anyone until they drop 40 points on him, whereas no one in the NBA is out for validation from Brooks. The Grizzlies guard is known solely for his trash-talking ability after getting into it with Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors earlier this season, getting embarrassed when they got beat, and Klay Thompson celebrated the game-winner in his face.
Brooks had also mentioned he had no fear of ‘poking the bear’ while referring to LeBron James, which led one fan to say – “Such shade…poke the bear. Lol.” The Memphis Grizzlies’ loss came after a historically poor first quarter which saw them go down 35-9. The Los Angeles Lakers fans enjoyed their first playoff game back home since 2021 with a comfortable win and jeered Dillon Brooks every step of the way.
