As a result of Doc Rivers potentially disclosing his true preferences in the most humiliating manner conceivable, Twitter is dying with laughter. Now is the time to bring up another embarrassing incident with Rivers, who was asked to read aloud a harsh tweet that was sent at him on Jimmy Kimmel’s show.
There aren’t many coaches in NBA history that can compete with Doc Rivers at what he does. He’s one of the greatest in the league right now, and his NBA strategies are flawless. Coaches usually make headlines during the summer unless they are fired or acquired by a team. However, Doc Rivers appears to be a unique instance this summer, when the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers was trending on social media. On his Twitter account, Rivers had “liked” certain suspicious pieces of content, as other Twitter users had discovered the offensive, highly sexualized adult material he liked. Running it back, Rivers also found himself embarrassed on the Jimmy Kimmel show back in 2016.

Doc Rivers and his phenomenal coaching career
In NBA history, there have been some really outstanding coaches where many coaches had numerous championships and others had vast amount of regular season victories. Doc Rivers just has one championship, but he has more than 1,000 victories, which is likely how he ended up on the list of the top 15 coaches of all time. He has lost several 3-1 playoff series leads, and the Sixers last year were eliminated in the second round. Rivers is also taken into account despite what are seen as his tactical flaws and his propensity to blow significant leads. As a result, many people were shocked to see his name among the best 15 coaches of all time.
Most people seem to forget that Rivers started off as a brilliant coach before moving on to the clipboard. In 1999–20, he took over the Orlando Magic, a team that most observers had projected would finish last in the Eastern Conference. He led them to a 41–41 record and won the NBA Coach of the Year title in his first campaign in charge. When he has a team full of potential Hall-of-Famers, Rivers has demonstrated the ability to motivate them and help them succeed. However, he can also back off when he has a team of role players. One of the few head coaches in the NBA that can switch depending on the circumstance is Doc Rivers.
Rivers roasted on the Jimmy Kimmel show
Several of Doc Rivers’ older videos have reappeared on social media as a result of his trending status. This specific video was taken from the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when Doc appeared during the “Mean Tweets” segment. As the name implies, famous people are brought on to the programme and asked to read out a particularly offensive tweet that was sent to them. The majority of the athletes that took part have already appeared on the programme, so they must be used to getting this type of treatment by this point. The tweet read: “Doc Rivers voice is ashy as hell! Put some lotion on those vocal chords bro.”
After two seasons marked by controversy due to now-Brooklyn Net Ben Simmons, the Philadelphia Sixers are attempting to start the season on a fresh note. They don’t need any more controversy and we sincerely hope Doc was indeed hacked for his sake. Even if the questionable likes were removed, the damage was already done, and Twitter was the target of the jokes.
