“Bron, did you ever have thoughts about going woman?” Donald Trump takes a major potshot at LeBron James

LeBron James and Donald Trump

LeBron James was on target in front of thousands at a recent political rally as former US President Donald Trump made direct comments on the NBA Superstar in his recent visit to Nebraska. Safe to say, this verbal banter seems to live for the ages.

The feud between LeBron James and Donald Trump is a known fact all over the world. Though LeBron never competed against Trump even in the smallest of elections or attended any political rally supporting or opposing any political party. But different social media posts and media interviews always highlighted LeBron’s direct resistance to Trump’s decisions. Donald Trump also didn’t shy away from the combat and made his views about “King James” loud and clear. In his recent rally in Nebraska, Donald Trump again used LeBron James to add some “fun” to his speech.

While talking about the Transgender issues, Trump said, “I’ll say this to LeBron James who I don’t like very much. I’ll say, ‘LeBron, did you ever have thoughts about going, woman? Because, if you did, I’d love to have you on my basketball team.’

Why is LeBron James always targeted by Donald Trump?

In a recent “Save America” rally, the former president was visiting Nebraska to support the Republican candidate in the region. The tour is formulated to serve numerous purposes since its start. Besides supporting and/or endorsing republican politicians from within the cities, Trump also loosely campaigns for a potential 2024 run. He focuses on the mistakes of Joe Biden’s administration and uses them as weapons to launch new points of discussion opposing the Democratic group.

In Nebraska too, he mentioned Biden and the White House before addressing the “equality for transgender people”. During this, Trump paused for a moment and added his “beloved nemesis” LeBron James to the mix. His “I don’t like (LeBron) much” comment brought “boos” from the supporters and was later followed by cheers and laughter over James’ switching the sexes.

There has always been a love-hate relationship between Donald and LeBron James. When James and the Cavs won the NBA championship back in 2016, Donald Trump praised King and the Cavaliers for their 1st ever Major sports championship win. But since then, there has been regular hatred or mockery between the two.

Even when King James opened up a school in Ohio, his stand for “black lives matter” and kneeling during the anthem hardly had any appreciation or support from the Trump-led government. James has yet to comment on Trump’s recent dig. Also, James hardly missed a chance to point out mistakes of the Trump administration and showed support for Hillary Clinton – a democratic candidate in many of his interviews.

Trump also never took a backseat in the arguments. He used James in his speeches as a puppet and made fun of him whenever he got the chance. He even said “he will never watch NBA games again” -threatening NBA’s viewership. But interestingly none of the NBA Champion teams from 2017 to 2020 including James’ 2020 Los Angeles Lakers visited the White House ceremony, while Trump and the republican government were ruling.
