“I said don’t trade Rudy Gobert” Donovan Mitchell denies Danny Ainge’s claim of Jazz players ‘not believing in each other’

“I said don’t trade Rudy Gobert” Donovan Mitchell denies Danny Ainge’s claim of Jazz players ‘not believing in each other’

Danny Ainge and Donovan Mitchell

The Utah Jazz team executive Danny Ainge recently broke the team by trading the stars away and initiating a rebuild. He said the team had a bunch of players who didn’t get along together with each other and had trust issues. Ex-Utah Jazz player Donovan Mitchell was not happy with Danny’s statement. He commented on this claim weeks after he was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mitchell rejected the claim by saying, “I don’t think we didn’t believe in each other, I said at the end of the season, don’t trade Rudy Gobert . Let’s figure this out, let’s do. And that didn’t happen. For him to say that after six months around the team, I disagree. But you know, at the end of the day, that’s his decision.”

Donovan emphasized that they have always been willing to make things work, even with his former teammate Rudy Gobert. This topic clearly states that Danny Ainge and Donovan Mitchell had different perspective. Ainge had traded Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves in July and dealt with defensive player Royce O’Neale in a separate trade before moving Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Donovan Mitchell will be donning the Cleveland jersey for the upcoming 2022-2023 NBA season. The team had thrown a welcome party as he arrived at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The Clevelanders team and the management erupted in cheers and started the celebrations as soon as he entered. Mitchell was wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers hoodie and Cleveland Browns hat.

Mitchell tweeted a picture of himself in a Cavs jersey when he was about five or six when the news of his trade to Cleveland broke out. He explained that he became a Cleveland Cavaliers fan because of LeBron James. It will be interesting to see what role the cavaliers have for Donovan. On the other hand, he looks pretty excited and will be itching to perform for his new NBA team. The Cleveland Cavaliers will play their first match against the Toronto Raptors on 20th October.
