After her husband’s death in January 2020, Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant, seems to be spending her money in a way that has not won over everyone. Dr. Umar Johnson, a well-known American on social media, levied grave allegations against Vanessa Bryant, the spouse of Kobe Bryant. Umar charged Vanessa with failing to allocate the LA Lakers legend’s funds to programs promoting black empowerment. Johnson claims that the model, who inherited $600 million from her husband, hasn’t made the best use of the funds.

Johnson claimed during an appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast that Vanessa, who received a $600 million inheritance from her late husband, hasn’t spent it in a way that the basketball player would have approved of. After Kobe Bryant passed away in January 2020, Vanessa Bryant worked on his charitable endeavors. The 42-year-old upheld the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation’s legacy.

Vanessa inherited his wealth. Is she using any of this money to do good for the black community? Absolutely not. Vanessa Bryant just started an initiative with three predominantly white colleges. Some kind of sports initiatives with Kobey's money and Kobey's name.

Still, the Joe Budden team mainly shouted Umar down. “There are plenty of angry Black wives who got a Black man’s money and didn’t do sh-t for the Black community,” one contributor claimed in their comment. At the time of his passing, Kobe Bryant’s net worth was $600 million, according to Forbes.
