Draymond Green is about to return from his second suspension this season. But for a moment after the NBA handed the Golden State Warriors forward an indefinite suspension, Green was not sure if he wanted to return.
Green was talking about the days immediately after the incident when he hit Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, earning him the second suspension. He also revealed a conversation he had with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver about the whole situation. Speaking on his ‘The Draymond Green Show,’ Green claimed that he told Silver the following:
Adam this is too much for me. This is too much. It's all becoming too much for me, and I'm going to retire.
Hence, the player confirmed that he considered leaving the league amid all the negativity surrounding him.

Adam Silver, however, did not feel this was the right decision. Green continued:
And Adam said, 'You're making a very rash decision and I won't let you do that.
Green goes on to give credit to the NBA commissioner. He claimed that he was fortunate to play in the league with Silver as the commissioner. As per Green, Silver wants to help rather than dish out punishments.
Green also thanked the Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations of the NBA Joe Dumars as well as his former GM Bob Myers, who used to call Green twice every day. The player then went on to acknowledge his friends, family, and fellow competitors who helped him throughout his suspension.
Draymond Green has been reinstated and is scheduled to return for the Warriors
The NBA suspended Green indefinitely with the condition that, Green underwent counseled via a league-sponsored program. Green would only be reinstated if the league and the Golden State Warriors deemed him fit to return.

The league reinstated Green on the 7th after he was cleared to report back to team activities. The 33-year-old, however, needs time to get back into shape which might take another week or so.
What version of Green will fans get to see as he returns to the basketball court is currently unknown. However, most fans will hope for a speedy return.
