The Golden State Warriors continued their trend of losing games against Ja Morant and co., recently. This was despite the absence of multiple Grizzlies superstars, including both Morant and Marcus Smart.

Draymond Green, the veteran guard for the Golden State Warriors, made his return on Monday evening for the game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This was following his indefinite suspension by the league authorities for smacking Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic.

Starting from the bench, Green ended the game with seven points, seven rebounds, and four assists as the Warriors lost 116-107 away at the FedExForum to an injury-stricken Grizzlies who had Dennis Bane (ankle injury), Ja Morant (shoulder injury), Marcus Smart (finger injury) absent.

After the game, Green who was on the losing side, spoke via “The Volume Sports” on the popular social media platform X, on the reason behind the Grizzlies’ youngster’s motivation. Green talked about how he waited for Steph Curry at the half-court line while revealing details of their conversation.

He said, ‘Man, I got uninvited from your camp’. But Steph was like, ‘Oh, I remember that. We were filled on spots. So, they had to pull some invites back. It caught me a bit off guard’. After the game, I learned that it was very personal for GG, but he found this extra added motivation.
