“This is not your sleazy TD Garden son” Draymond Green enters Celtics bench to fight Jayson Tatum in Game 5

“This is not your sleazy TD Garden son” Draymond Green enters Celtics bench to fight Jayson Tatum in Game 5

Draymond Green and Jayson Tatum

Draymond Green probably got his revenge last night in Game 5 for all the disrespect thrown at him at TD Garden in the last two games. As the Golden State Warriors now lead the Finals by 3-2 against the Boston Celtics and are now one win away from lifting their fourth title in the last eight seasons. But of course, the road isn’t going to be easy. But their greats in Game 5 (won 104-94) surely have them closing it but still, it isn’t predictable. As you never know when Jayson Tatum steps up and changes the whole story around. But recently both Jayson Tatum and Draymond Green made it to the NBA headlines as they got into it and were about to entertain the audience with some spiced up action but soon they were separated. The former DPOY though just showcased who he is at Chase Center when the crowd isn’t getting into his mind by bullying the Celtics.

The Golden State Warriors hosted the Boston Celtics at Chase Center for Game 5 of NBA Finals. It was a very important game as both the teams wanted that 3-2 lead and the Warriors were successful in claiming it. But it wasn’t Stephen Curry who was getting the job done as he had a horrible night shooting the ball and went 0 for 9 from the three-point line. He was limited to 16 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds. So with him struggling down there the rest of the team stepped up and got the dub against the helpless and speechless Celtics.

Draymond Green though had an improved performance compared to last duels and it was one of his impactful games. As his talks and actions were working well on the rivals and had stars like Jayson Tatum, Grant Williams and Al Horford frustrated. He even backed up Andrew Wiggins (26 points, 2 assists, and 13 rebounds) and Klay Thompson (21 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds) by dropping 8 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds. The former DPOY also showcased his defensive greats, not to the core but yes he wasn’t out of focus last night and was on a mission to get the dub.

The Boston Celtics almost made a comeback in the third quarter and even had the game tilting towards them. But soon Jordan Poole had them shut downed and in the fourth quarter, the Golden State Warriors were just the better team in the competition as they ruled it all. Jayson Tatum though tried his best to take control and end up on the winning end. But his efforts were all washed and wasted as the Celtics weren’t able to back him up. Even Draymond Green got the job done as he had him frustrated with approximately five minutes remaining for the game to end.

The series has already been full of trash talks, chants, controversial calls, and even some physical action. But a fight for the ball was still remaining and even that’s done now. With four minutes and forty seconds remaining for the game to end and the Celtics being down 79-91. Ime Udoka decided to call a timeout and Jayson Tatum was bringing the ball up. The last thing he wanted to do was give the ball to the rivals. So when Gary Payton II and Draymond Green approached him and tried to snatch the ball away he just walked past them to the bench. But Draymond Green was following him and they even stopped in between after some physical contacts but Tatum refused to give the ball and went onto the bench after they were separated and sent back.
