February 3rd, Saturday, The Golden State Warriors Guard, Stephen Curry scored his season-high 60 points against the Atlanta Hawks in an overtime game. Despite Curry’s dominating performance, the Warriors lost the game.
In the new episode of his podcast “The Draymond Green Show” Warrior’s Forward, Draymond Green talked about the rest of the player’s mediocre performance.
Green admitted that it is always disappointing to lose the game but it is more disappointing when a teammate has performance like that. Green said,
Very frustrating, especially with Steph [Curry] having the type of night that he had. The rest of us didn't play too well. When you lose a game and your guy [goes] off like that? It’s even worse.
No other player in the Warriors team scored more than 17 points. According to Green, the team is making mistakes that they should not be making. If they keep on making unnecessary errors, they will find it hard to overcome them in the future. Green firmly feels that not committing silly errors is the way forward for the team.
Curry’s recent outing was not only his second highest points scored in a game, but also with his performance, he joined the late Kobe Bryant as the only player 35 years or older in NBA History to score 60+ points.
Steph Curry is not an All-star starter
Stephen Curry, the Warriors Guard, was not selected as a starter for the NBA All-Star 2024 game. Curry will make his 10th All-Star appearance this year but for the first time not as the starter. The NBA All-Star games are back to their East vs. West format.
This news stirred up various reactions from fans. Curry was the second most-voted player by the fans for All-Star. But he was third in the player voting after Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Therefore, they were selected as the starters ahead of Curry.
Stephen Curry was announced as a reserve for Team West. He took to his social media to thank the coaches and fans who voted for him and made it quite clear that he never takes these acknowledgments for granted.
