“How many rings do you have Chuck?” Draymond Green hilariously disses Charles Barkley for backing Mavs over Warriors
Draymond Green and Charles Barkley
Having won NBA Championship rings in 2015, 2017 and 2018, Draymond Green has had quite the resume by earning himself 3 prestigious silverwares. On the other hand, chasing his 4th, the former DPOY simply could not tolerate Charles Barkley blatantly supporting Dallas Mavericks over his team in the Western Conference Final series.
Being one of the marquee stars of the NBA who have never won an NBA Championship ever in his career, Barkley was savagely dissed by Draymond Green as the latter stated Barkley could surely not handle another ring on the NBA on TNT panel. Not only that, Green too signified his confidence in the Dubs team to go onto secure yet another championship ring, especially now when they are raging with full force with all their stars on the court.
What was opinionated by Draymond Green?
“If I win another championship, that’s one more ring added to the panel that’s not him,” Green said, referencing Barkley’s co-stars on Inside the NBA on TNT. “I wouldn’t want to see that either. Then you really got to hear about it. So I get it. I understand. I don’t know how that feels, I’ve always won. So I don’t know how that feels. But, I guess I’d feel the same way if y’all just keep adding rings up here and I got to just sit here when the playoffs come around.”
The Golden State Warriors power forward finished up his comment with one final dig at Barkley before reassuring the media that it was all in good fun. “You gonna tell us how to win? Not taking that advice from Charles Barkley, that’s my dog though, I love Chuck.”
Apart from the hilarious trolling Green just thumped on Chuck, it would be important for the Golden State Warriors to keep Jalen Brunson and Luka Doncic quiet in Game 2 as well. With the Mavericks already aware of the style of play, Steve Kerr’s team is going to play with, Green too would be required to use his basketball acumen in order to give more freedom to Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins on the offensive end.
Will we witness the Warriors registering another home win? Or will Mavs be able to steal a crucial road win? Remains to be seen.
