Draymond Green, the veteran guard of the Golden State Warriors, faced an indefinite suspension from the NBA due to repeated instances of violent conduct against opposing players. His latest transgression involved slapping Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic in the face during a game.

Engaging in counseling and participating in virtual meetings, he is currently looking for a way back into the Warriors fold. For the time being of course, that has not proved possible, which means he has more time on his hands than his colleagues. This resulted in him showing up alongside a range of A-list celebrities during the birthday celebration of Lakers superstar LeBron James.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James turned 39 on December 30 last year and decided to throw a lavish party in celebration. The event took place at Hyde Sunset and a range of stars turned up for the event. Draymond was also among them and was captured arriving at the venue in the company of James’ Lakers teammate Anthony Davis.

Among the attendees were other celebrities such as Jay Z, Beyonce, Offset, Don Cheadle, and Anthony Davis, to name a few. Draymond sported a shiny suit while Anthony Davis also appeared in something flashy, indicating a themed party. Interestingly, Beyonce managed to stay hidden from the cameras, shielded by an umbrella.

Draymond absent from Warriors’ team facility

Speaking to the media ahead of the game against the Orlando Magic, Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr remained tight-lipped while delivering updates on the suspended veteran, Draymond Green. Green, ejected against the Phoenix Suns on the 13th of December last year, has been absent for the last 10 games for the Dubs.

Kerr, when asked if he was back in the facility by a reporter, had this to say in response,

He has not been in the facility, at least with us, he may have been coming in on his own.

When also asked how much they’ve been in communication, Kerr claimed,

We text, but, you know, he's, we've been giving him his space. He's been giving us ours.

Despite the Warriors securing a 121-115 victory against the Orlando Magic at home, it was far from an effortless win in this closely contested game. The Magic attempted more field goals, making a mere 44.6% (41/92), while the Warriors achieved a higher accuracy with 53.8% (42/78) from the field. Steph Curry concluded the game with an impressive 36 points, along with two rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Paulo Banchero of the Orlando Magic delivered a noteworthy performance with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.
