“Don’t apologize. Stand on it” Draymond Green reacts to Fox Memphis chief meteorologist Joey Sulipeck calling him a racial slur

Draymond Green has been disrespected and called names many a time during his on going career. He has been called racial slurs by the crowd present at the games and has also seen many middle fingers disrespecting and throwing shade at him. There are fans who hate him for a reason and there are fans who just hate him. But the hate is surely present. Many believe it is because of his dirty plays and the fouls he commits but not all of them are intentionally done. As of now Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors are going all in and against of the JA Morant led Memphis Grizzlies in the western conference semi-finals. The series is no doubt one of the most interesting ones in the post season and the playoffs also have the fans stepped up and the vibe going crazy as the games are really personal for many individuals around.

Recently, Joey Sulipeck, the chief meteorologist at Fox13 WHBQ-TV in Memphis complaining about the ejection of Kyle Anderson called out Draymond Green with a racial-slur while mentioning how he often gets away with fouls and bad behaviour with the officials like yelling back at them. In the tweet via his personal Twitter handle, Joey Sulipeck quoted: “And chew on this: Draymond runs his knuckle-dragging open-mouth ALL DAY LONG, but mild-mannered Kyle Anderson disputes one call and gets ejected? Next level jackassery.” He used the racial-slur “Knuckle-dragging” while mentioning Draymond Green and his exchanges with the officials.

“Knuckle dragger” is a racial slur that means enraged ape. The internet and several writers along with many media members have called the meteorologist out and want Fox News to fire him as such behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated and it is also not expected from a guy like him at such a designation. Draymond Green though being the more matured one in the conversation just laughed it out as he doesn’t wants to create a big scene out of it.

Draymond Green on being called a racial-slur by Joey Sulipeck

Draymond Green basically laughed out on the situation as on his Instagram story referring the tweet by Joey Sulipeck he quoted: “????? are you surprised? Don’t apologize. STAND ON IT!” The twitter account of Joey Sulipeck stands either deleted or suspended and he hasn’t still apologized for his mistake. The T.V station and FOX News have promised investigation and actions against the meteorologist but still there’s no update on it.

Even Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors head coach reacted to this unfortunate racist event and quoted: “Does it surprise me that a weatherman would tweet a slur at Draymond? In 2022, not in the slightest. This is America. This is how we operate.” He was just honest throughout his take as whatever he said while addressing the situation around is not wrong. Draymond Green as a player has always been under the shade of such terms and behaviours by fans around the games of course not the Dub Nation as they truly love their secondary ball controller and the defensive end runner as he gets the job done most of the times.
