“I make $25 Million per year, I’ll just be fine” Draymond Green savagely roasts Grizzlies fans after showing middle-finger in Game 2
Draymond Green
The Warriors vs Grizzlies match up was of much anticipation after the 1st round of playoffs. But what was not anticipated was the level of drama that was witnessed. Draymond Green was in the talks for the second time after the Game 1 ejection, but this time it was throwing up double middle fingers to the abysmal Memphis fans.
Draymond Green in Game 2 took an elbow in the eye from Tillman. While being escorted to the locker room after a serious case of bleeding (that later required stitches) Memphis arena began to boo Draymond Green with some showing middle fingers. Draymond, as he does, decided to take that into his court and began taunting those fans by throwing double middle fingers. It has been made pretty clear by now, how much Draymond despises the crowd and their reactions.

Fines do not worry Draymond Green
“It felt really good to flip [the Grizzlies’ fans] off…I’m assuming the cheers was because they know I’ll get fined, great…I make $25M per year I should be just fine.”, said Draymond in a post game interview when asked about the incident. Draymond Green did not hold back after Grizzlies booed him post-injury. He has been quite vocal through Game 1 and now after Game 2 over the deplorable Memphis fans.
Fans play an important role in any sport. They go on to show what the sport is all about and the spirit around it. Memphis Grizzlies fans have shown the disgraceful and shameless side of it. From booing an injured player of the opposite to cheering when the player gets knocked down, these are reactions that are absolutely disgraceful.
A move like that has seen players land in foul trouble. With this being Draymond’s second incident after the victory lap taunt in Game 1, it is expected that NBA officials will continue their trend of fining those who show disrespectful attitudes to the fans. But in this case, it will surely be a matter of discussion and debate as the Memphis arena is no blameless either.
Draymond Green in the post-game interview was asked about the fine, to which he had a straight forward answer where he explained that the some Grizzlies fans in the crowd had started to throw middle fingers at him when he was going back to the locker room. Added to the fact that he was being booed, Draymond decided to taunt them back and mess with them by throwing up double fingers. He later had a shrug and did not seem bothered with the fact that he might face a fine in the near future. ‘I make $25M per year I should be just fine’, said Draymond in his roast of the Memphis fans.
