The playoffs series between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings have taken yet another dramatic turn with regard to Draymond Green. Fans ad critics have been watching the two teams lock horns with excitement and anticipation. The defending champions have created a reputation for winning in any situation. However, the Kings have been one of the most impressive offensive teams this season. As the series heads into Game 3, the Kings will look forward to picking up a road win.

The Warriors would’ve looked to regroup before their first home playoffs game this season. However, the NBA has shocked San Francisco with a decision expected to affect Stephen Curry and the Warriors in Game 3. The league has issued Green a one-match suspension without pay. This comes in response to his foul on Domantas Sabonis in Game 2. While the flagrant foul was widely argued, it seems the NBA has a clear mind.

In the fourth quarter of Game 2, the Warriors were trailing by four points with over seven minutes remaining. With Golden State playing competitive basketball, the Warriors took a defensive rebound and looked to attack to score against the Kings. This was when Draymond Green was seen stepping on Sabonis’ chest as he was issued a technical foul. Many fans and critics pointed out that Sabonis had grabbed Green’s leg first. However, after a careful assessment of the situation, the forward was also ejected from the game.

Following the NBA’s verdict on Draymond Green’s suspension, fans on Twitter haven’t held back. Many have come in support of the Warriors forward, saying that the NBA is biased to want one team to win. Accusations of rigging the tournament have been made against the league, as fans say they want Sacramento to win. Here are some examples of what people have to say:

Although the decisions are made, fans are very vocal about the league’s hypocrisy. Many have questioned why there is no action being taken against Sabonis. After all, he did try to grab Green’s foot and allegedly instigated the entire scuffle. Many are also questioning the legitimacy of Sabonis’ injury. The Kings center is reported to have a Sternum Contusion. However, fans are pointing out that Sabonis looked perfectly fine after Green’s ejection and was chest-bumping his teammates.

Whether or not Domantas Sabonis’ injury is genuine or an off-court strategy by the Kings as accused remains unclear. However, it is certain that the Warriors have a tough Game three ahead of them. Golden State is already down 2-0 in the series. A home game win would be crucial for their morale, and the absence of a key player would surely affect them. It will be interesting to see how the Warriors play at home in Green’s absence with the series on the line.
