Since Thursday’s Game 6 victory over the Boston Celtics, Draymond Green has been in a very good mood, and he hasn’t been shy about letting the world know it. After defeating the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors have won the league for the fourth time in eight years. For the first time, Stephen Curry was awarded Finals MVP after scoring 34 points in a 103-90 victory.

Since helping the Warriors win their fourth championship in the last eight years, Green has been very active on Twitter. The former Defensive Player of the Year chose to take an aim at the Celtics’ standout duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in one of his tweets.

Way too much expectations for Brown,Tatum and the Celtics?

For the first time in his career, Jayson Tatum was named to the All-NBA First Team. After critics questioned whether Tatum and Brown could work together as a dynamic duo, they hushed them. Since Gary Payton, Marcus Smart is the first guard to win the Defensive Player of the Year honour. The Celtics eliminated star-studded teams in each round of the playoffs. They sent all of them home: Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. They then came within two games of defeating a Warriors squad led by Curry, Thompson, and Green, who had just won the title.

Draymond Green claps back at Tatum and Brown.

Draymond Green was criticised throughout the NBA Finals for his underwhelming efforts. Green’s impact on the defensive end, on the other hand, cannot be discounted. Green was instrumental in defending Brown, as evidenced by the statistics and what was even more impressive is Andrew Wiggins’ ability to keep Tatum under control for the duration of the series. Tatum especially, was absent from the Celtics’ Finals lineup and in Game 6, his absence was felt even more severely. There’s no denying that Wiggins, Green, and the rest of the Warriors put on a superb defensive performance against the Celtics, which was crucial to their series victory.

Green also contributed to the Warriors’ 103-90 victory by playing his best game of the series. Green had 12 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks in his final game and he also made two three-pointers.
