“If you’re gonna call that, you better call it” Draymond Green wants the league to be consistent in calling out CARRY violations, as refs point out Jordan Poole
Jordan Poole and Draymond Green
Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green was not happy with the officiating in the last match Warriors played. His teammate Jordan Poole was consistently called out for carry violations, but the referees overlooked the violations of the other players present on the court. He wants a better job to be done by the officials in the league.
In the post-match conference, Draymond Green said, “If you’re gonna call that, you better call it. Every guard in the NBA carries. A lot. Some of the best ball handlers in the NBA carry often. If it’s a point of emphasis, let’s see it.”
Draymond also pointed out that Miami Heat players Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler did carry the ball many times in the game but got whistled for it only once. The referees have not been able to be consistent with the right calls even after NBA introduced many changes to call out violations last season.
Jorden Poole creates a new record for the Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors star Jordan Poole pocketed a valuable record as the Warriors lost their third straight game to a comprehensive Miami Heat. Jordan became the youngest player in Golden State basketball history to notch up 400 career 3-pointers in the NBA. Not even Warriors’ legend and NBA’s best 3-point shooters, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson could achieve the feat.
Despite his bad shooting that night, Jordan Poole averaged 21.0 points on 45.1 percent from the floor over his last three games. He’s only sunk 32.3 percent of his 3-point attempts over the same stretch, though, so probably he’s about to break out of his slump soon. Jordan scored only nine points, two assists, and two rebounds against the Heat. He needed only one 3-pointer to reach the 400-mark in the game.
Jordan went 3-for-10 from the field and 1-for-7 from behind the arc. The Warriors lost the game with a score line 123-110 to the Heat. Poole is considered a top player in the Warriors mix. Despite his patchy form, the management has always backed him to step up in big games. This record will help to boost Jordan’s confidence and help him perform more fiercely for his team. He will have to be a vital cog in the Warriors’ machine if they want to win another championship.
