“Ehh? We all good right” Draymond Green’s dismissive take on Game 1 might p*ss off Celtics fans.

After a devastating fourth-quarter collapse against the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors are searching for positives. Draymond Green, on the other hand, isn’t thinking about the last few minutes. The Warriors may find pleasure in how effectively they played the rest of the game. In reality, in his perspective, the Warriors controlled the first half of the game. “They stayed within striking distance and they made shots late,” Green addressed. “We’ll be fine. We’ll figure out the ways we can stop them from getting those 3s and take them away. I don’t think it was a rhythm thing. We pretty much dominated the game for the first 41, 42 minutes, so we’ll be fine.”

Disastrous 4th quarter for the Warriors.

After a 12-point comeback in the fourth quarter of Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics have snatched home court advantage from the Golden State Warriors. This is Steve Kerr’s Warriors’ sixth Finals appearance in eight seasons, and the dynasty is aiming for their fourth Larry O’Brien trophy. A jubilant crowd that had been cheering Golden State’s return to the Finals after a two-year break was stunned when the Warriors transformed a 12-point advantage after three quarters into a 12-point defeat after Boston made its first seven 3-pointers of the fourth quarter and shot 21 for 41 from 3 for the game.

Draymond Green’s press conference.

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, had some sharp words for his teammates. He also praised the Boston Celtics for their outstanding play during the game, given the Warriors’ commanding advantage entering into the fourth quarter, the outcome was unexpected. Green also observed a disparity in the Boston shooting as he quoted: “They hit 21 3s and Marcus Smart, Al Horford and Derrick White combined for 15.Those guys are good shooters, but they combined for what, 15-for-23. Yea, that’s 23, right? 15-for-23 from those guys. Eh. We’ll be fine.”

Heading into Game 2.

The Warriors were outplayed in the fourth quarter and lost Game 1 and they must go back to the drawing board and come up with a solution. When the Warriors eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 after losing Game 5 by 39 points, it was the last time they bounced back from a devastating setback. Even so, they were up 3-2 in the series. Now they’re behind 1-0 and facing a must-win situation at home on Sunday to avoid falling behind 2-0 in Boston.
