Draymond Green might be assessing his future post the Warriors contract conclusion, especially after he fetched his 4th championship ring in 8 years. After Draft picks, free agency, and trades various franchises are in the midst of contract negotiations. The focus has centered on the Champions Warriors after they made a few free agent signings. They now have 4 stars eligible for extension including Draymond Green, but how does it all pan out with even his mother now getting involved?
Just like Draymond Green – or the other way around, his mother also does not like to play around and speak directly from the heart. The situation was public in no time, as a star was involved in a possible extension with the Warriors. Though he had the best years with the Franchise, his mother expects him to seek a move if the Warriors refuse to offer him a max contract.

Warriors star forward Draymond Green never kept anything hidden from the listeners or viewers. So does his mother. As seen recently on Twitter, Draymond Green’s mother is not at all happy with the situation surrounding her son and the possibility of him landing a max contract extension. Indeed, ‘Mama Green’ took to the social media platform where she posted a less than a pleasant message for detractors – see below.
With many start performers up for the extensions, Golden State Warriors are weighing up “the Value” of every individual on the roaster. Once taunted as untouchable, former Defensive player of the season has some alarming signals this time around. Sensing the situation, his mom weighs in with her views. Needless to say, fans and fellow players alike also had a thing or two to say.
Green is nearing its dawn period. At 32 years of age, the clock is most definitely ticking for Green’s career, but it would be disrespectful – to say the least – that the Warriors’ big man wasn’t a central part of their dynasty. He helped the team in winning 4 NBA championships in 8 seasons, and formed a fearsome defensive structure with players in hand.
Now with two years remaining on his contract, Green has reportedly made it clear that he “wants and believes he deserves” a four-year max contract extension. With that in mind, it’s clear that Green would like to stay in the Bay, however, it’s understood that he wouldn’t close the door on other options. Taking this opportunity, his mother went one step ahead as she declared ‘her’ preferred destination if Green fails to land the extension he desires.
With all that said, there has been chatter about the Detroit Pistons. A ‘Motor Town’ native, Green would likely enjoy playing with a bit younger team where he could make huge deference. And not to mention his mother would most certainly be happy to have him closer to home. At any rate, there have been no definitive moves from either the franchise or the player at this point. Many would consider that the Warriors would seek the solution in the next season. But his mother has undoubtedly added fuel to the fire, all we can do is expect some changes in the coming future.
