At this time in his career, Tyson was undefeated and had won the unified championship. He was also well-known for his luxurious and excessive partying. Michael Jordan was seated across from him, and Tyson saw him. Given that he was going through a dark period at the time, Holloway wanted to divert his focus away from Jordan since he didn’t want anything bad to happen.
