Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal are back in the NBA headlines and the reason is still the same. As the basketball world is once again spectating two of the best Big Men in the league’s history beefing with each other. Dwight Howard didn’t get a satisfying deal from NBA so he unexpectedly announced his decision of hooping in the Taiwanese League, T1. And, the Steel Man is balling out there and throwing unreal numbers since his debut. He is looking like prime Michael Jordan while suiting up in Taiwan.

Dwight Howard in his debut game with his new team dropped 38 points on 14 of 32 shooting, added 25 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 blocks. Also, he was out there trying to drill three-pointers. But Shaquille O’Neal isn’t a fan of his and that’s not something new. As they have been hating on each other for quite a while now.

So when Shaquille O’Neal was asked about Dwight Howard and his greats in Taiwan on his podcast, “The Big Podcast With Shaq,” he laughed about it and said: “You should never be complimented for being a good father ’cause that’s what you’re supposed to do, right? He’s supposed to have 30 points playing against dudes 5’8. Good Job.”

Shaquille O’Neal didn’t just end it there as mocking Dwight Howard he hilariously mentioned how he is proud of the former Laker and went on to add: “This league reminds me of a Lifetime Fitness league every Saturday when I go workout on Saturday. Great job Dwight, I’m proud of you.” Dwight Howard though this time didn’t hold back to the disrespect and has clapped back on Shaq.

After Shaquille O’Neal showed out his pure hate for Dwight Howard and disrespected the Taiwanese League. Howard took to his personal Instagram handle to clap back at him. As there the former Laker said: “Stop hating basketball in Taiwan. And, I’m playing at the Lifetime Fitness League. Do not disrespect my teammates and this league and these people in Taiwan like that.”

Dwight Howard further added: “That is highly disrespectful and that is hating and you’re too old to be hating. You’re too big to be hating. You’re supposed to be Superman, the original Superman, Shaquille O’Neal. The original Superman is hating?… The OG Superman is hating?… Stop hating!”

Dwight Howard also mentioned how Shaquille O’Neal almost cost JaVale McGee his career and called him out for being “jealous.” He also sent out a challenge for Shaq where he compared himself with the Hall of Famer and quoted: “We don’t need people hating on other people because they’re not there. Shaq, when you were 37 years old, your 19th year in the league, because this would’ve been my 19th year in the league, would you have come to Taiwan and played? Would you have come here and been in shape? I’m 265 [pounds], I’m not 390 pounds. I’m 265 [pounds] and I’m in the best shape of my life.”

Dwight Howard wasn’t angry and he has specifically mentioned that while calling out Shaquille O’Neal for his hating mouth on very personal levels. The way Howard has addressed the situation even while being on the receiving end is smart and respectable. As he also brought in Kyrie Irving into the conversation and now we may soon have Shaq speaking about it. As none of the parties involved are going to be silent after getting called out, especially, the most dominating force ever seen in the league’s history, Shaquille O’Neal.
