Dwight Howard HINTS an NBA comeback for another championship
Dwight Howard wants to end his basketball career with an NBA team.
Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard the former NBA star wishes to finish his basketball career with an NBA team. Right now, Howard is hooping in T1 League for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan. He’s completely owning the competition there and already has several accolades registered under his name. As that league just had no answer for the talents the former NBA star holds.
Dwight Howard is one of the best big men ever in the modern era of the NBA. He has 3 DPOY, a championship ring, an 8×All-Star selection, multiple All-NBA Teams, and All-Defensive Teams selections. And, several other accolades registered under his name. But unfortunately, after the 2021-22 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwight Howard has no good or no long-term deal on the table. And, so he had to go overseas for balling out because of his love for basketball.
Dwight Howard has played 18 seasons in the league. And, during all those years he has represented 7 teams in the league. He was drafted first overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2004 NBA Draft. And, then he was shipped around the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Recently, Dwight Howard made it to the NBA headlines as he was recruiting all the stars to Taiwan, who failed to keep their teams alive in the playoffs. He wasn’t showing any mercy to anyone and even called out Kevin Durant and LeBron James to join him in Taiwan. So with him being on the heated discussion table, he was recently interviewed by senior NBA insider, Shams Charania.
In the interview, when Shams Charania questioned Dwight Howard about having any conversations with any NBA teams this year and a possible return to NBA. Dwight Howard answering that question quoted: “I’d love to come back you know to play in the NBA. Also, I enjoy to play in National Basketball just the experience is one of a kind… I would love to finish off my career with an NBA team, hopefully, win an NBA championship.”

Can Dwight Howard run a comeback to NBA this offseason?
Dwight Howard is 37 years old, so him getting picked over the younger options isn’t very possible. Also, him demanding playtime and a multi-year contract with any team in the league won’t be fair. Unfortunately, he’s not the same Dwight Howard the league was scared of during his prime. But he surely can land himself a minimum veteran deal for a year and even help a franchise win a championship as a veteran on board.
Dwight Howard is a winner and has a plate full of experience. And, fortunately, many teams who’d be in contention next season want a veteran on board to guide their roster, especially, fill in the big man spot and mentor the primary option. The Phoenix Suns can bring him in as they may part ways with Deandre Ayton this offseason and even if they don’t, Howard can be helpful in mentoring him and the bugs of the team.
Some other franchises that can bring Dwight Howard in are Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, and Atlanta Hawks. So him making a comeback to the league has chances but nothing can be said about it as the league is nothing but a business at the end of the day. And, everyone wants better deals and a protected future with a younger core.
