Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade was recently honored at the Heat’s Hall of Fame Night Ceremony. It was revealed that a statue of Wade would be unveiled in the fall of this year. However, a recent act by Wade brought out a lot of trolling from an unlikely source.

Rappers Cam’ron and Mase were talking to host Treasure Wilson on their podcast It Is What It Is. Wilson while talking about the Heat’s ceremony, asked the rappers about their reaction to Wade’s painted nails. Both pause for a while and Mase goes on to say;

D-Wade, D-Wade, this is like seeing Jordan, this is like seeing Jordan in lingerie......

Cam’ron and Wilson burst out laughing hysterically. Mase joked that for all his accomplishments, Wade destroyed his overall simply due to the painted nails.

Cam’ron and Mase were referring to Wade’s recent trend of being seen with painted fingernails and toenails. Mase claimed that Wade would have been able to command more respect had he ‘gone wild all over,’ and tried out a range of experiments with respect to his looks. He suggested different hair, different clothes, and a range of other changes that Wade could bring about. The rapper clearly believes that the painted nails are a half-hearted attempt at trying to look different.

Cam’ron closed out the conversation by pointing at Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union. He thinks she might be influencing how Wade dresses up, nowadays. Cam’ron clarified that Wade was different before he met Union, which is why he was left confused.

Dwyane Wade and a legacy built on competitiveness

Dwyane Wade was selected as the 3rd overall pick in the 2003 draft by the Miami Heat. He went on to win a championship before his much more illustrious ex-teammate and current best friend LeBron James.

Wade’s legacy as a basketball player led his jersey to be retired by the Miami Heat. He retired as a Heat player after 16 seasons in the league. Wade is regarded as one of the best shooting guards ever, as his accomplishments led to his selection among the 75 best players in NBA history.

However, all the accomplishments could not stop people from trolling Wade’s attire. Still, his legacy remains intact as one of the best ever to play in the NBA.
