There are very few mages in NBA history that appear as cold as the one which was clicked when LeBron “King” James hit that iconic no-look dunk in 2011. The duo of Dwayne Wade and James then were playing for the Miami Heat. The game was against Milwaukee Bucks. Wade bounce-passed to James, and James hit a monstrous dunk after receiving the ball.
The picture which shows, Wade with his arms wide open for the audience and James in his leap to the rim, is something that cannot be forgotten. It is definitely one of the most iconic clicks in NBA history. While many of us saw both the clip and the picture, Wade says that he never watched it. “You know I’d never seen the dunk, really? I looked away from the dunk”
As Wade talks to NBATV, he recalls the moment he saw running for the fast break in the game, “this was a typical fast-break dunk where I just had to figure out how to get him the ball.” He heard him “trucking” and with a quick peek to the back, he made sure the area was clear, and then threw a bounce pass and the rest is history.

Is this the best LeBron-Wade dunk?

Although this might not be the most complex or the craziest dunk ever, it is still itched in the memories of each NBA fan. The motions of Wade going back to his court with his arms stretched, mimicking an airplane is something that is too iconic that has become the poster of the Wade-LeBron duo.
While there are many dunks that may be better technically or more visually appealing than this one like the one LeBron hit against the Celtics or the tomahawk he hit against the blazers, both having assists from Wade, there’s simply nothing that can top this simply because how iconic this has become.
The way the duo created magic on the pitch left everyone in awe. As they created some beautiful plays, they also created chemistry and a bond that was unbreakable – they understood each other and their play styles. This is why they would take the Heats to 4 finals in 4 years, almost being unbeatable, and gave their fans 2 titles to rejoice.
