Gabrielle Union, the wife of Dwyane Wade, has been seen liking tweets discussing Drake's desire to start a family with Rihanna after he dissed her in his latest album.

Champagne Papi, aka Drake, released his new studio album titled ‘For All the Dogs,’ and the album quickly took over the internet. Drake is known for sneakily dissing his former partners and enemies in his songs, and in his most recent album, he dissed his former partner, Rihanna, in one of his songs.

Dwyane Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, was seen liking tweets on X where Drake can be seen talking about wanting to start a family with Rihanna when they were dating on and off in 2009, in a clip from LeBron James‘ podcast, ‘The Shop.’ In 2018, Rihanna confirmed to the media that she did not have a friendship with the hip-hop star at all. Rihanna then married rapper A$AP Rocky and has two kids with him.

In songs on his new album titled ‘Fear of Heights’ and ‘Virginia Beach,’ Drake had several bars that directly dissed Rihanna and A$AP. Drake mentioned Rihanna’s 2016 No.1 album ‘Anti’ multiple times and also had a bar on ‘Virginia Beach’ saying, ‘Drawin’ conclusions like you got a Parsons degree or somethin’/ I could’ve treated you better, that’s crazy.’ Rihanna has a degree from Parsons, and Drake claims that he would have treated her better if she had stayed with him.

Gabrielle liked tweets, including one that referred to the beef between Pusha T and Drake and how Pusha revealed that Drake had a son he did not disclose, completely breaking down Drake’s facade. The tweet mentioned that after the beef with Pusha, Drake only seems to have conflicts with women who want nothing to do with him.

The friendship between Gabrielle Union and Rihanna

Rihanna and Gabrielle Union are best friends that hold each other in high esteem and offer one another the necessary support. They are long-time friends who have demonstrated their affection against each other different times. However, it was only in 2014 when Gabrielle Union became friends with Rihanna, during the time she attended Rihanna’s very own Diamond Ball event, which marks as one of the foundation funded by CL [Clara Lionel].

Gabrielle also noted that Rihanna’s speech in Black Girls Rock! tied well with the event’s theme. In 2016, she received the rock star award in the awards event. She also shared an Instagram post featuring Rihanna’s speech calling her “a force of nature” and “a role model”. In addition, the latter has come out to defend Rihanna against cyberbullies who were disparaging her weight in 2017. 

Nevertheless, Rihanna has demonstrated that she is big fan of Gabrielle’s acting skills and activism. In April 2018, Rihanna put up a picture of Gabrielle on her Instagram stories with an inscription that referred to her as a queen and an icon. In 2020, Rihanna sent Gabrielle a gift box of her Fenty Skin products, along with a handwritten note that read: “Gabrielle, you’re a force. Thanks for being you. Love, Rihanna”.
