While a practising Muslim himself, Kanter Freedom will be speaking at the March for Martyrs in Washington D.C on the 24th of September, an event that aims to bring to light the issues of persecuted Christians around the world. When asked why the organization chose to have a Muslim speak at a march for Christians, the president Gia Chacon said it was an attempt to build a bridge between the two religions.

Chacon said, “For him to speak about persecuted Christians; to talk about the importance of freedom of religion makes this issue that much more powerful, it’s a message to Muslims — not just in the United States, but around the world — that we need to build a bridge between Christians and Muslims.”
