“The Heat are an unserious franchise” – NBA fans BAFFLED by Erik Spoelstra’s bizarre motivational method feat. Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Eminem
Erik Spoelstra is trying EVERYTHING (quite literally) to motivate an unmotivated team, and the methods are nothing less than bizarre.

Erik Spoelstra, head coach of the Miami Heat, has lately been making rounds around social media platforms and news articles for some of his motivational strategies. Some of these have come out of the changing room and have baffled the fans, to say the least.
In an effort to motivate the “Heatles” Miami Heats, a team that took the Beatles lyric “nothing’s gonna change my world” a bit too seriously, coach Erik showed the team a video of rappers Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent. And this isn’t all that the Heat coach has done “to inspire players in different ways.”
To quote Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson: “Tyler Herro was struck by a video that Spoelstra showed them about ‘Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Eminem and how they started, and the manager they had and he was the one rallying the troops, which is Spo [for the Heat],”. Barry also added, “Spo does [this type of thing] every year, but this year has been a little bit more with how up and down the season has been.”
Spo took such measures in order to get his team out of the trenches. As it currently stands, Miami Heat will need to finish their season strong. They will also need assistance from Brooklyn Nets to even qualify for the play-ins, and that, at this point, seems like a tough call.

Fans react to Erik Spoelstra and his “bizarre” methods of inspiring the Miami Heat
Coach Erik was met with all sorts of comments and reactions regarding his methods of “inspiring” and “motivating” his players. What stood out to the fans out of all the methods discussed was his strategy of showing a video of the three rappers in order to motivate the players, and surprisingly, the video did “strike” youngin Tyler Herro.
Spo is spending more one-on-one time with his players, which seems to give good results. Heats’ player Gabe Vincent said, “having more one-on-one time with him has been helpful to me.” Kevin Love was quoted saying, “ all of his reactions and his approach… are very appropriate”
Surprisingly, Spoelstra became the fourth coach in NBA history to win more than 700 games with a single team. Even if one agrees or not, his creative methods could’ve been a factor in achieving this astonishing feat.
While Spoelstra’s tactics might boost his players’ enthusiasm, they definitely don’t give a good look to the fans, who now think the Heat are an unserious franchise.
Even though the players might feel that coach Erik’s methods might be useful, the fans clearly don’t feel that way. The sheer criticism of his methods on social media platforms shows the fear in Heat fans. Those who were hoping for a dramatic turnaround with a few matches remaining are now worried about the seriousness of the franchise.
