“Even Wilt never pulled this off” – Joel Embiid’s RARE playoff record cracks up fans on Twitter
Joel Embiid records a ridiculous playoff game record, as the Sixers go up 3-0 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Joel Embiid has been leading the MVP conversation yet again for the 3rd straight season. Though in the past two postseasons, the Sixers have only managed to play till the second round. Regardless of the performance of the Sixers, Embiid has given his all, leading the league in scoring for 2 consecutive seasons. This just shows how much effort he is willing to put his team forward.
As the series against the Nets continues, Joel Embiid is averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds a game. Putting it all on the floor, Embiid also faces physicality on both the defensive and offensive end of the floor. This does make Embiid end up on the floor after certain plays. Though recently he’s managed to fall on the floor multiple times.
The Sixers lead the series 3-0 versus the Nets, as this comes after a close Game 3 victory. This game was all over the place, as Embiid put in a lot of effort, especially in the first half.
Joel Embiid went the distance on almost every possession which made him fall on the floor more than 18 times. This seems to be a playoff record, falling 18+ times in the first half of a postseason game.
Not only that, but Embiid also had an altercation with Nic Claxton early in the game, which also had him fall on the floor. Other than this incident, Embiid would end up on the floor trying to draw a charging or shooting foul. This won’t exactly be called a rough play by Embiid against his opponent but instead, he puts his own size on the line to make the best out of the possession.

This is either true efforts from Embiid, or unfortunate situations that occurred quite often in Game 3. Fans on Twitter had a laugh as making such a record isn’t so easy.
Though falling on the floor did affect his performance, as the Cameroonian put up 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Here are some of the fan reactions:
This playoff game record was indeed hilarious, as it does put up the question of whether putting in so much effort would make a player fall on the floor so many times.
